Myrtle Beach hosts a number of festivals that will immerse you in southern-style entertainment with a unique South Carolina flair. Pageants, sand castle contests, barbecue, live music and Shag competitions are some of the many family-friendly activities you can plan your vacation around.

Drawing the Sun Fun Festival® - A Celebration
of Summer to a close, the Myrtle Beach Area
Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 5th
Annual Beach, Boogie and Barbecue Festival on
Sept. 3 and 4.
The festival will feature family–friendly
entertainment and events, samples from local and
regional barbecue teams, live entertainment, kids zone,
wake board demonstrations, beer gardens, many food and
arts/crafts vendors, fireworks finale on Saturday
evening and so much more!

Friday, September 3, 6:30 – 10 p.m.
The Official Barbeque cooking competition of South
Carolina sponsored by the Omar Shrine Temple will
begin festivities on Friday with an “Anything Goes”
contest. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to
sample and purchase the mouth-watering food and barbeque
after judging for $1 per sample (while supplies last).
Enjoy free live entertainment, food and arts/crafts
vendors and much more family fun throughout the evening.
Saturday, September 4, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Festival kicks back off starting at 10 a.m. with
family-friendly free live entertainment, samples from
more than 60 local and regional barbecue teams from
11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. for festival attendees to purchase
(while supplies last), huge kids zone, wake boarding
demonstrations on the lake, many food and arts/crafts
vendors, beer gardens and fireworks finale and so much
more!

- $10 Wristbands - Ages 10 & under FREE -
Unlimited barbecue samplings
- $7 Barbecue Dinners (barbecue, baked
bean, cole slaw)
- $6 Barbecue Combos (sandwiches, chips,
drinks)
